Before placing a reservation, please examine this policy thoroughly. By securing a charter through SharedFoyerCommons, you are consenting to these terms of refund.

Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Complete refund excluding processing charges

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Processing Fee: €50 for credit card transactions

Conditions: Request must be made in writing through email or over the phone

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half of the total charter cost

Processing Time: 7-10 business days

Processing Fee: €25 subtracted from the refund amount

Conditions: A valid justification is required; administrative expenses are applicable

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: Refunds are not available

Exception: Special emergency circumstances may be taken into account

Alternative: Charter credits may be given out depending on managerial discretion

Conditions: Supporting documentation is needed for emergency situations

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Your safety is our utmost concern. When charter operations are not safe due to weather, as determined by our certified captain, we provide adaptable alternatives:

  • Full Refund: Should rescheduling be unfeasible, a full refund is offered
  • Reschedule: Option to transfer your charter to a substitute date with no extra charge
  • Charter Credit: Issue of a voucher, usable for 12 months from the initial charter date

Weather Assessment Process

Our meteorological evaluation encompasses:

  • Evaluation of wind force and trajectory
  • Sea condition monitoring including wave size
  • Futuristic visibility and precipitation prognosis
  • Adherence to Coast Guard bulletins and alerts
  • A prudent safety appraisal by a professional skipper

Decision Timeline: Weather-based cancellation decisions are made no later than 4 hours preceding the departure schedule.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Emergency Circumstances

Medical emergencies are unforeseen, and we take such cases into account for special consideration, which include:

  • Unexpected illness or harm necessitating hospital stays
  • Passing of a direct family member
  • Compulsory military service or urgent recall
  • Legal jury service or summons
  • Severe weather events impeding travel

Documentation Requirements

Required documents for emergency refund requests are as follows:

  • Authentic medical affirmation or hospital records
  • Bereavement certificate (if applicable)
  • Official military mandate
  • Citation or notice of jury duty
  • Public advisories or statements of emergency

Processing: Refunds for emergencies are managed within 3-5 business days once appropriate proofs are presented.

Operational Cancellations

Mechanical Issues

In the event that the allocated vessel encounters irreparable mechanical setbacks:

  • Alternative Vessel: An endeavor to assign a similar class vessel
  • Full Refund: Rendered when no equivalent replacement is procurable
  • Partial Refund: Issued if the alternative vessel commands different rates
  • Compensation: Possible compensation for any troubles encountered

Crew Unavailability

On rare occasions where an accredited crew is not available:

  • Substitute crew assignment whenever feasible
  • Full refund in case the charter cannot commence
  • Reschedule offer with no excess fees

Payment Method

Refunds will be enacted using the initial payment method provided during the booking:

  • Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days

€50 charge for cancellations with over 72 hours notice

Bank Transfer Processing

€25 fee applicable to all bank transfer repayments

International Processing

Extra charges may be applicable for offshore transactions

Charter Credits

When Credits Are Offered

Charter credits might be provided as an alternative to refunds under specific scenarios:

  • Cancellations near the charter date (less than 24 hours notice)
  • Cancellations due to weather conditions
  • Incidences of voluntary rescheduling
  • Interruptions due to operational issues

Credit Terms

  • Validity: 12 months from the date of issuance
  • Transferability: Credits are non-exchangeable amongst different parties
  • Value: Equal to the full charter value, exclusive of processing fees
  • Usage: Applicable to any upcoming available charter
  • Expiration: No extension past the 12-month limit

Partial Service Refunds

Service Interruptions

Should your charter experience interruption or be curtailed due to our controllable factors:

  • Refund allocation based on the segment of service not utilized
  • Charter credit corresponding to a future booking of equal value
  • Complimentary benefits or service enhancements

Guest-Related Interruptions

Termination of a charter earlier than planned due to the conduct of a guest or non-compliance with safety measures:

  • No compensation for the service remainder
  • Full payment requirement remains unaltered
  • Potential for additional fees to be incurred

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a disagreement pertaining to a refund decision, the following options are available:

  • Seek a review from our administrative team
  • Submit further information or proof
  • Engagement with consumer advocacy groups
  • Utilization of lawful channels as deemed appropriate by prevailing legislation

Step 3: Review and Processing

Our team will send a confirmation of your application within 24 hours, evaluate its merits in accordance with our policy, make a determination within 48 hours, and execute sanctioned refunds as per the timelines outlined.

Important Notes

  • Refund applications need to be documented in writing
  • Refunds are executed in €, regardless of the currency used at the time of payment
  • We highly advise obtaining travel insurance
  • This policy is amendable given a 30-day notification
  • Refunds are the subject of pertinent taxes and statutes
